Music
Theory Spectrum is the official print journal
of the Society
for Music Theory. It features articles and
book reviews on all topics that intersect with music
theory and analysis, such as aesthetics, the history
of theory, linear analysis, atonal theory, and narratology.
Published twice a year, Spectrum maintains the highest
standards of acceptance and is recognized as one of
the foremost journals in the field.
This
is a biannual publications: April and October.
Back issues are available. Submissions are welcome
at all times of the year; review will normally be
completed within three months of receipt.

Journal
of Music Theory
The
Journal of Music Theory is published
twice a year, in Spring and Fall, by Yale University.
All
issues from 1974 (vol. 18) through 1998 (vol. 42)
are available. Some earlier issues are also available
in limited quantities.
The
Journal of Music Theory invites submissions
dealing with any aspect of music theory.

Music
Theory Online (MTO) is the refereed, electronic journal
of the Society
for Music Theory, Inc.. Published several times
each year, each issue includes features such as articles,
book reviews, and reports from a distinguished panel
of International Correspondents. In addition, MTO
publishes announcements of upcoming conferences and
calls for papers, a list of job opportunities, abstracts
of recently completed and in-progress dissertations,
and summaries of recently published books.
